Facile Synthesis of Spherical Flake-shaped CuO Nanostructure and Its Characterization towards Solar Cell Application

The aim of this work is to synthesis CuO nanoparticles and investigates their eminent properties identify diverse application capability in the field solar cells. In work, were synthesized by precipitation method using Copper (II) nitrate chloride. Surface effects due defects, structural related through lattice parameter, crystallite sizes have been identified from XRD. crystal plane reflection peak position was calculated Bragg’s law. It showed that a monoclinic structure, average size 28.82 nm. n-type semiconductor behavior had direct band Eg = 1.465(2) eV, analyzed optical studies DRS. gap sample determined reflectance spectra Kubelka-Munk (K-M) function. Elements present found absorption FTIR. blue shifts observed FTIR compared with bulk CuO, agreed XRD results. Morphological revealed formation spherical flake-shaped CuO. higher surface area well-suited cell applications. HIGHLIGHTS obtained range nm Spherical nanostruture formed Optical property (Eg 1.465 eV) good electron mobility make it suitable absorber material GRAPHICAL ABSTRACT
